As a recently retired physician, I can say that, based on 37 years experience with many adolescent patients, that rule tends to hold true. However, there are exceptions where some girls do not grow at all after their menses begin, while in others growth may continue beyond the two years. But, as a general rule, female growth stops by the two year point after a first period. It is worth mentioning that usually the growth which occurs during those two years is not more than two and a half inches. I wish you well in your modeling endeavors.

No, that's not true. You can continue growing until around 18 years old - everyone develops differently - as the average age of menarche (first period) is 13 years old and many people reach menarche at a far younger age then you can guess this idea is just a silly puberty myth. For the record you can be a short model, depending on what sort of modeling you're interested in and also consider that even if models are normally tall you can always change that...don't let anything stop you pursuing what you want in life.
