Youtube pays for high views. I think it would be fair for Yahoo to pay those who receive high numbers of Best Answers. Yahoo would have to first figure out a way to prevent abuse of the system, since I'm sure there are people who currently become top contributors by creating multiple accounts. Maybe this could be corrected by requiring everyone to verify their accounts with a telephone number and limiting an account per phone number. Paying would also motivate the knowledgeable members to keep responding. We need more experts in categories like Science and Law.

I wouldn't do this if I was getting paid. It would be too much like work!!
