There is really nothing you can do about mono. It just has to go away on it's own, usually in about 4 weeks. In the meantime, you can do whatever you feel up to doing. Augmentin is an antibiotic that has no effect on viruses, may help if your tonsillitis is bacterial, but it might be just a symptom of your mono. Go ahead and take it, and be sure to finish the entire regimen, regardless of of much better you feel. Most of us (80%) already have the virus, even if we never had mono, so there is really no risk of giving it to others. Go and do whatever you are up to doing, and enjoy yourself.
