Most companies don't buy ideas; they create their own using employees. Who do you think would pay for this idea? What type of idea is it?

Companies are more likely to pay good money for an idea if you have done BOTH of these two things: 1. Prove the concept. To do this, you would start your own business to make money off the idea, even if only on a small scale. 2. Legally protect the intellectual property. If there is an invention involved, it must be patented, and you (or your business) must own the patent. Otherwise, bigger companies will just imitate your idea without paying you anything, and usually, their superior resources will allow them to drive you out of business.

I don't think you should give your idea away, find a manufactor to make a prototype or sample of what you want. You can find a cheap one in Asia. After that you should get a patent for it, I think you could find someone to help you with that. Then market it online, or go to entrepreneur conventions, they have some cool stuff set up for people to try and buy! Good luck!
