Cons:high maintenance costs low resale value not really good cars to by used you can get better for that amount of money all your paying is for the name

Re: DIY oil changes. forget it, you'd be drastically shortchanging [no pun] yourself bc the name brand dealer, VW, Ford, etc will do an included multi point vehicle inspection the owners don't know how to do, and don't have the proprietary, full version updated software for service & repair that the name brands have. Saving $20 on a oil change can be a hugely expensive mistake.
