The human body is amazing. It will really try to keep you healthy for as long as it can regardless what you put into it. So if you are skinny (meaning your body works well) then just by eating more you won't gain weight - you're body is working well. However, by eating more you over tax your metabolism and eventually it'll start to break down. That's when you put on weight and it stays om. So basically you need to damage your metabolism to put on weight. Some people have metabolisms that don't work as efficiently as yours so they start out being able to gain weight. And eventually over time most people's metabolism slows down - hence middle-aged spread. But I'd suggest that right now if your body is working well that you try not to fiddle with it. Stay skinny as long as you can because eventually you'll be fighting to lose weight. And if you've damaged your metabolism you'll make it that much harder for you in the future.
