Doing weight lifting at 14 is the best way to make yourself short. Wait till 18 I suggest.

Weightlifing doesnt effect your height.. Just dont do extreme lifting, just do it as more of a casual hobby. And sure why not start lifting now but as I said dont go extreme with it. I done it casually since i was your age im 16 now and no regrets so start now!
