Aside from te meetup thing mentioned before, (you might be able to run one for about $8/mo using the 1/2 offer trick mentioned before, here's one example Dance meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Chicago-Social-Dance/ Spend some time in search engines looking for things like Social Dances Chicago, you will find some listing willing to add your event at no charge, same for local newspapers. http://www.chicagodancenews.com/ https://www.livingsocial.com/events/cities/1705-chicago-citywide http://seniorsocialclub.com/events/chicago-illinois-senior-events-and-activities/ You can spend countless hours on social sites like Facebook slipping in the occasional plug for the event, if you have no money at all, but the return may be minimal. Some people print up a batch of postcards (cheaper by the thousand) and hand them out on the sly at venues (other dance places, etc.) where your type of audience can be found. Postcards here (you can design online): http://www.overnightprints.com/pcsale Cost $38.95 for 100 or $88.95 for 1000 Even breaking even getting new people there for the frist time can pay off in the long run as more regular customers are cultivated.
