Legally? You send him a check once a month. The whole idea does sound like a scam though. You're going to trust someone with your thousands of dollars? And when you lose, does he get paid?

I do not think that I would even want to get involved with this kind of a deal at all for the stock market trading at this time in my life. Stay away from it completely and then you would NOT have this problem at all at this time in your life. Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 12/22/2013

not a problem it is perfectly legal you would still issue him a 1099 M, he is performing services for you

Pay him on whatever schedule your contract sets forth. You get a W9 upfront. Before paying him anything before he does any work. Have a 1099misc in the mail to him no later than Jan 31

He is acting as a stock broker. Before doing anything, I would want to confirm that he can legally do this.
