This is a 5000 pound full sized SUV. In this review, when the vehicle was new, the fuel "economy" was 13/15 which is probably the best you can expect from the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Hypermiling driving techniques may give you a bit more. There are all sorts of gimmicks that are marketed to the unwise as ways to save money on gasoline. None have been proven to work and you are likely to spend a great deal more than you could possibly save.

Nope. It was officially EPA rated at 12/14 when new, so I'm honestly surprised you're still getting that good of gas mileage, particularly given that it's over 15 years old and manufacturer fuel ratings are usually overly optimistic (high) anyway. Bottom line is that it is a giant 5,000 pound 4x4 SUV. Ain't no fuel additive or aftermarket product that's gonna change that. Sorry for the bad news!
