face reality, do things people think you cannot do, the ultimate is not to mind what people say about you, be bold,courageous, calm, don't be scared to ask questions. try to be the best in every thing you do, know what you are doing because by that you can face any body anywhere and at any time

Everyone who answered so far is correct. There is something else to try as well. Affirmations are ways to reprogram your subconscious mind toward a desired end. The only thing you need is a few extra minutes each day and a mirror. You don't even need the mirror but it does make it easier if you can look yourself in the eye. Think of a compliment you would give to someone you love, respect, and look up to, and give it to yourself, replacing the 'you' and 'your' with 'I' and 'my'. Do this each morning when you wake up after wishing yourself a good morning, and wish yourself a good night when you go to bed. This is also good for doing just prior to something difficult you must do. This does sound cheesy to most folks, I know, but confidence is gained when someone loves you and supports you and you appreciate their attention. The easiest way to begin to appreciate that attention if you have it from someone(s) is to give yourself that attention. Affirmations are also handy for dispelling bad habits(smoking, swearing, etc). You can even use them for training your body to wake without an alarm clock, though I still have mine set just in case. You have my support, my friend, good luck. :-)
