shorter shocks or a set of struts. Struts are easy to make. The struts will make a very stiff ride though. I have struts on my 84 sportster that I simply made myself. pictured below you can see the strut in place where the shock was originally. The other bikes in the pics are rigid framed that belong to customers and they are even lower and a rigid is another option.

Check out Progressive shocks/springs they make shorter (and very good shocks) and a lowering kit for the front forks the stock springs are so soft from the factory you will love the change - also bring the fork oil up to 15w belray - - you should do both ends at the same time to keep the rake and trail numbers as it came from the factory.
