They have a usb to av cable adapter that allows you to plug your AV cables into your computer and view them. These cable are mostly used for capturing video, such as plugging an VCR into pc and copy a old vhs tape to your hard drive and later burn to a cd. Also used for live streaming games on the internet. If you go to they will have a wide varity of these. You should be able to use one of these just to play your ps 1 on your pc.

Unless you have a laptop that has an av input No , and I really doubt you do because no laptop I have seen since about 2000 had had that type of connection and when they did it was an Output port to connect TO a projector a cheap older TV or hdtv is the best option , but I don't know why you;d buy an hdtv to play an old ps1 on
