Please stop messing around with this serious stain situation. Carpet and it's replacement is expensive. Call a carpet cleaning pro, this should be done before 3 days as the ink will set up. The carpet stain will be treated with special ink removers and then the solutions and the ink will be vacuum rinsed and extracted.

first you have to know the type of ink
is it water based
or based in oil, alcohol, pigment or other
Try nail varnish remover, The Acetone works with marker pens on other surfaces
experiment in a corner first with a very small patch, , just in case the colour dyes from the carpet are also lifted. put the Liquid on a cloth or old rag to apply
