Click start, on the context menu, enter the desired text in the search box. You can also (Windows) just open a folder and type it into the address bar.

Buddy, there are basically two objects or windows where you type a command. And start menu is nor one of them. :P First, the run dialog box and, second, the command prompt. You can get the run dialog box by pressing windows key (the one with windows logo on it) + R. And then type cmd in it. If you want to navigate or go to that location, you can go from here or directly from the windows explorer by enabling hidden files view. All the best.

Dear Click start menu, enter the desired text in the search box. You can also use (Windows) just open a folder and type it into the address bar. Otherwise you can choose the file searching option.
