I have good luck with Yelp for questions like this: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=restaurants&find_loc=Glasgow%2C+UK&ns=1&ls=e1e162aeffb4e349

Unless you and your girlfriend have very expensive tastes £80 should be more than adequate since you won't be buying alcohol. you should decide what type of cuisine (Scottish, French, Italian, Indian Chinese etc) you want, and if travelling is a problem. Try tripadvisor restaurant reviews, scout any potential places before your big night to check if the menu and ambience feels right.

Four of us just had dinner in City Merchant, Candleriggs for £150 including tips - bottle of wine ( £28), 4 starters, 4 main courses 3 sweets and one coffee. So your £80 for two would be fine. mainly fish but fairly good choice. Look it up on line. http://www.citymerchant.co.uk/ You'll get cheaper deals especially if you can go early evening. Try a pre-theatre meal - cheaper. 5pm.co.uk have lots of offers. Most restaurants are on-line and most inclde their menu
