It would cost more than the value of the car..and it probably wouldnt fit in the engine bay.. Just go out and buy yourself a 2001 or so Buick GS. its supercharged and very fast

A V8 will not fit in a Grand Am without major (expensive) custom modifications. You would be better off getting a different car. Anything can be done, with enough work and modification, the question is should it be done

Just buy the new car!!!!!!!!!! It isn't going to happen. Isnt really the cost, just pretty much you need everything from the V8 donor car that you just go ahead & buy a car with the V8 already installed

The car was never built to support a V-8 engine, so it would require a complete engineering makeover. You should consider something else, because no shop will take that job, without a huge pile of cash up front.

think about it for a minute ! the front end was made for a v6 and a v8 would be too heavy and the transmission you will need because a v6 won,t bolt to the v8 ! you will be better off to buy another car and if the v6 is still running then sell it and pocket the money !
