I've never heard of wet chargers being an issue, but I will tell you that for the most convoluted devices I've done it for a week. That'd be watches or Tamagotchis with a screen. For your charger, 48 hours would do it, I'd think.

Sorry, but if you plugged it in before drying it up, I doubt that it will work. However, if I were you I would shake the thing to get most of the water out and blow dry it with a hair blower making sure you do not stay on one place, circle around the device to get all areas and never staying on one area for more than a minute. If you are mechanically inclined a bit, you can open the back and blow dry it that way which is my prefer way. But like I said in the beginning, once you plug it in you may have caused more damage which most peeps always do when they have soaked their electronic device in liquid. In this case, it’s time to buy another! Good luck! P.S Do not believe commercials that has a person having his phone in a rice jar, that does not work because if the device have gotten water inside, then turning it on is a deadly event and no rice is going to cure or dry it!
