Simply book an open ended ticket. If you don't know your return date don't book your return date. If an open ended ticket you can stay as long as you wish.

Airlines do not sell too many open ended tickets now if not at all. Call them and find out. Best thing is just make a definite date of departure to end your dilemma. I think a day or a week or even a month will not really matter if your stay is for a year.

Ms. or Mr. Fox, capitalized as all proper names, nicknames, etc. must be in English, does it matter what anyone here says as to this situation? Suppose you asked if you would qualify for a car loan, gave some information, then you went and made a loan application but were refused. Would you tell he loan officer or agent that someone in Yahoo! Answers told you that you would qualify? Similarly, what anyone says here does not apply as to the ticket you are asking about. You must deal directly with,,,,,,,,,wait for it........the airline! Ta -dah!! Now, tell me, how come you did not think of this on your own? I have a theory. Because you cannot text any airline and you must, gasp! use the phone part of the smartphone to, double gasp! speak to someone. OMG, Next time you have an issue, please, sit and think about this and as to what is the correct way to either resolve it or gather the information needed. This is not the place to ask about what a third party might or might not do. Good luck. Oh, I have been to the Philippines and one year might be worth reconsidering. Not exactly the ideal place on the planet.
