You should not be waiting anymore. 8pm is when they stop delivering. Call Amazon's customer service line to report your package did not arrive, but you have Amazon Prime. They're usually pretty nice about it and may do a small refund...or tell you to wait another day.

Actually Amazon only ships packages through UPS, unless it was a third party seller with a store on the Amazon site. If it was USPS, then first check at your front door and in your mail box, that they did not not actually come by and left you an orange attempted delivery slip. BTW, I have received my mail several times this month between 8 and 9 pm.

Was the shipper Amazon selected USPS? Or was it FedEx/UPS? Possibilities are that it was left on your porch or a side door, that it was dropped off at a neighbor's, or it required a signature so they left a "we tried to deliver" slip in your mailbox. The USPS site generally updates overnight.
