When i hear PYRAMID,i think of money wasted.The Amplifier is junk check out Ebay in the car audio area and stick with name brand equipment weather it's new or used. Rockford Fosgate/Alpine/Orion/some Sony/and many other's you can believe the rating's on.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the power wire is the closest thing to resetting the amp. You said you checked all the wires except for the speaker wires. Try turning off the amp, disconnecting the speaker wires and turning it back on. If the protection light is now off then the speaker wires are crossed or fallen loose and touching metal in the car. Even a blown speaker can cause an amp to go into protect. If that doesn't work then more than likely the amp is toast. Fingers crossed.
