Do not talk to him! Do not try being friends it wont work! If trust was ever an issue in the relationship on ether side its dead. so leave it alone. Move on and try starting a new relationship instead of trying to fix a broken one. Trust me once you become okay with being single you will forget all about whats his name.

If things were that bad for you to insist on no contact, why would you want to take him back and open yourself up to the same thing all over again? There is no way to tell if it is working because he is still the same person he was 3 months ago. If you take him back he might put on a front and temporarily be the best boyfriend ever, but the old problems are probably going to come back. Sure you miss him, everyone does after a break up, but be smart. Troubled relationships don't suddenly take a turn for the better after a brief time apart. I married for the first time at age 48 and if there is one thing I learned in all those years of relationships, it's that relationships that were not meant to be were just not meant to be and there is no fixing one and turning it into something it is not.

Let me get this right, You broke up, You want no contact and now YOU want him back. Does that sum it up? You might make your decision based on the number of times he's tried to contact you. It sounds like you got what you asked for.
