As being an extra is not considered to be acting at all, you need no talent, no training, no experience, no resume, and there is no audition. All you have to do is pay a fee to join an extras agency, and wait to see if they ever call you to attend. The pay is minimal, and it's incredibly boring, tiring and uncomfortable work. It's not nearly as exciting as it sounds, and having done it once, I would never even consider doing it again. if you really want to, look up extras agencies in your area and get in touch with them.

also, most extras casting companies DO NOT charge a fee to "sign up"...that only applies to a very few companies, particularly in LA. in most other film markets, extras do not pay to work, but many don't get paid anything but a meal.
