I'll wager that your mother doesn't know about this addiction. If I'm right, that is a huge mistake. Perhaps you cringe at the thought of letting your mother know you're addicted to these machines. Just think carefully about the alternative! Think about what you've been putting yourself though! To try to "get over it" all by yourself is a mistake. Talk with your mother and tell her that you need some serious help. You might even ask her to take over your finances for a while. In other words, she gets your paycheck, she pays your bills, she gives you food with your money, and she gives you the basic necessary cash that you need to get specific things that you need as long as you provide receipts. This seems extreme, but if you did this, it might be just what you need to finally bring your life into a somewhat "normal" existence. If you're not ready to talk with family and friends about your problem, then you're not really ready to get better. Good luck - now is when you're really gonna need it.

Find a very good friend and tell him your problems. Let him hold onto your money and let him make sure you're using it for necessities. It's hard to find these people, but once you do, it's a step in the right direction.
