Fix what caused the light to come on & using that same scan tool you used to see what code had set, you use it to clear the code!!!!!

First, you need to fix the problem that is causing the issue, then to reset the code logger there's two possible ways I can think of. 1.) Unplug the car battery and leave for a little while then plug back in, but this may not work on cars this new, or complex. 2.) You'll probably need access to a VAGCOM (Volkswagen Audi Group diagnostic computer) to reset it. Any auto electronic mechanic with access to such a tool will be able to do this for you; or you can acquire your own VAGCOM tool, but these are highly expensive and only if you know what you are doing.
