The key is to stop afraid. Especially stop afraid of the things you've mentioned, running out of things to say, fear of being laugh at or ignored or being disrespected or whatever.. If you are willing to let it be then it will solve your case. Let there be "awkward silences", it's ok!!! Sometimes you'll find what to say, other times the other side will break the silence and some times it can be awkward. But that's it! No reason to avoid living only to avoid awkwardness, it's part of life and can also be fun if you make friends with it.

1. Stop defining situations and feelings. If you stop defining them and stop having expectations of what's supposed to be happening, then you will find a subtle humor out of the moment As It Is and learn to trust yourself more.

Me too suffering from social anxiety. I'm now having some medicines according to my psychiatrist and also having a therapy or consolation about these things in a hospital. Please you should do that too...

Everyone feels this way sometime or another. Read the newspaper, some books. Get knowledgeable in various subjects. Be yourself. You don't have to always have something to say, listening to conversation can be a learning experience too.
