I have a friend who went to get this done for her 16th birthday and they warned her off it until she was at least 18 because as she grew the piercing could tear and scar I understand the worry you have for the impression it may give other people - as an older sister myself. I think you should talk her about why she wants it, incorporate opinions from other friends and family members - boys and girls - and see if this changes her mind if she doesn't change her mind, don't let her pressure you into it - only take her if you want to otherwise, say that you don't want to take her and parents will have to take her

My little sister wanted one too and my older brother told her she might as well tattoo the word sl*t on her forehead while she's at it.... She didn't get one.
