Get hold of a free program called Syncios and use that. Far easier than Itunes to use and much more user friendly.

Have you tried using iTunes? Install iTunes, start it up, hit ctrl s to bring up sidebar and click on the main iPod tab. In the main iTunes window, click the box for "manually manage music and video" Then open up w window for the folder containing your songs - presumably in mp3. Using your mouse, you can drag them to your iPod.. If you download iTunes, you may be prompted to update it as soon as you run it the first time. If you do update it, you should reboot your computer before trying to put music on it. I don't know if you've tried to do any of this - your question says nothing other than that you've had problems trying to put music on it, and that you want music on the iPod....which I sort of guessed.

"hitting sync does nothing" maybe cause u're not doing it properly.. 1. in the music tab, make sure u tick "only select synced media". oh yeah and.. 2. u have to use proper mp3 files. corrupt or broken audio files cannot be synced or played.\ 3. if hitting sync does nothing. uninstall + reinstall itunes.
