You need a deposit slip. Usually after the checks in your check book, there are some deposit slips already imprinted with your account number. You fill one one--you'll be able to figure out all the things to fill in. Then you sign the check on its back using EXACTLY THE SAME NAME as on the front of the check. For example, even though you might call yourself "Jasmine Smith," if the check is made out to "Jasmine A. Smith," sign the check "Jasmine A. Smith." You then take the deposit slip and the check to a teller, hand it to him/her, and make the deposit. If you don't have a pre-printed deposit slip in your checkbook, the bank will have blank ones. You go into the bank and get one--they're usually at a counter or table near the tellers. You fill it in, including your account number (the second string of numbers at the bottom left hand side of your check). You take the two to the teller, and it gets deposited. Hope that helps.

Take the check and a deposit slip to the bank teller. The teller will show you how to fill out the deposit slip. You can get deposit slips from the customer counter at the bank. If this is a checking account then you can get a deposit slip from the last pages of your check book.
