You need an account at a bank that allows you to accept credit cards. PayPal is much easier. Anyone with a PayPal account can accept payments. Don't worry about taxes, if you sell only a few items occasionally. You probably won't earn enough to be taxable anyway. If business really gets good, then you need to learn how to keep books, because then your expenses get deducted from your income.

if you have not set this up ahead of time with your bank or PP, you cannot do so for your own sake, consider partnering with a local business in your city that compliments what you want to do and that has a fixed site biz. Otherwise, the fees to handle PP and credit cards might eat up most of your profits.
