You can't, because when they take you to go buy clothes and shoes guess who won't have the money... accept the gift as given to you.

I have some scenarios. Answer the questions and be true to yourself and this might work. Are you 13 years of age or older? You'll need to be if you want to purchase this game Do you think your parents will make you return it if you buy it? If they will just hide the receipt where they'll never look. I hide mine behind the booklet for safe keeping, but your parents could be intellectuals. Are they willing to break your game just to prove a point? Then you'd better hide it really well and only play it when they're not home. Which is probably not often. Seriously, do you want to have to go through all of that stress just to play a game? If they do break your game, you could take your parents to small claims court. given that's a worse case scenario. Legally, if you're 13 years or older you can buy that game, and your parents did give you money as a gift. Even though they said you had to buy clothes with it, you're an American, and you get to make your own decisions as long as they're within the law. Of course, by doing what your parents told you not to is disrespectful, and your parents won't trust you anymore and you probably won't get any money for Christmas afterwards. Here is your best option. They gave you money to buy clothes and shoes, so buy your clothes and shoes with that money. Come up with the money yourself by mowing lawns or washing people's cars and whatnot. Shoveling snow off driveways even since it's winter if you live in a snowy area. Charge $5 a job and 13 jobs later you'll have enough to purchase the game yourself, and your parents can't do squat. Take care.
