After you have "nuked" everything from "Conduit" off your machine and Bing still appears on the initial starting of Chrome, remove the Chrome Icon out of the quick launch bar at the bottom of the screen. If you start from the quick launch bar, it goes first to go.microsoft.com which then shunts you into the extremely annoying Bing. Just start the Chrome off the desktop. . . after you erase any any all software references to "Conduit" and set your start page to "Google.com".
