Decartes stated it best in his first mediation - "I think, therefore I am". If you think and exist, you must have a soul. The fastest way to prove it to yourself is to love and be loved, then you will have no doubt. I love you.

Yes there are souls, but not in the commonly-understood manner. We ourselves are souls. If you look at the account of creation in Gen. it says that "man came to BE a living soul." Not that he came to HAVE one. In addition, the scriptures at Ezekiel 18:4 says that "the soul that is sinning, it itself will DIE," thereby negating the idea of a soul that lives on into eternity. This has been understood in the past. Think of the phrase that used to be used when a ship went down: 100 souls were lost. 50 souls were lost. If they believed there was a soul that lived on 4-ever why would they say they were lost?

Is it possible that there is no soul?

Compare your capabilities to other living beings in the world(other humans not included). Then read the owners manual about yourself(Bible). This may be a way to better get a handle on the situation.
