You could try actually paying attention in school. Either that or get the McDonald's application now because it takes talent to get a 1.7. Also, you're only a freshman, which is basically the kindergarten of high school, so I'm having trouble understanding exactly why you have a 1.7. Oh, and to answer your question, you don't raise your GPA. As far as I know, at the beginning of next semester, it all starts over again.

It depends upon the number of credits you took last semester and the number you are planning to take next semester. If the number of credits are the same for each semester. A 2.3 average next semester would give you a 2.0 exactly. A 3.3 would give you a 2.5

Possible answer
