if you have access to online banking through your bank then you'll need the other person's routing & account numbers to transfer the funds from your account to theirs.

If you have online banking, and you know their sort code and account number, you can set them up as a recipient and do it that way. The old-fashioned way I'm used to is write them a cheque, then go to a branch of their bank and fill in a paying-in slip with those details, then pay it in just as if I was them. Or you can go into your bank with their details and ask them to do a transfer from your account to theirs.
