I have good friends who are catholic. We certainly differ on some views, but our unity is in Christ.

How do Christian Catholic divisions differ from *what*? From Christian Protestant divisions? More info needed -- not sure what you're looking for.

It is my personal belief, not supported by any fact or theory, that there is usually an element of truth in most everything. It is our responsibility to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.". 2 Timothy 2:15 Once a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior, they receive the holy spirit which helps to discern the scriptures correctly. This is the reason why a strong personal relationship with Him is so important.

it's like rat poison. A whole lot of good food and a little bit of bad stuff that will kill you. The Bible states the truth.
