You'll have to ask the store clerks if a coupon can be used at the same time as a gift card. That is a store policy and they are the only one who can tell you. If your gift card is for a 7lb ham and you order one bigger then you have to pay the difference. Tell them at the time of the order that you have a gift card for a 7 lb ham and you like to NOT GO OVER that amount. They will accomodate your request.

Obviously if your gift certificate isn't enough $ to cover the cost of the ham you want, you will have to pay the difference. As far as whether you could use a coupon too, check the fine print on the gift card and on the coupon. If it doesn't say anything about not being able to use coupons, then probably you can (although maybe it's up to the individual store to decide in that case).
