Not a good idea; HDMI is all about copy rights protection ...The HDCP protocol must compleate a handshake with in the components attached to the HDMI chain...if the protocol senses the possibility of copy rights violation ( even if there is none going on) you will get illogical patterns of problems that are hard to solve. also your HDMI signal is good out to about 30 feet when you split that signal it is good out to about 15 feet split it again and its good out to 7.5 feet...you can increase signal strength by using an active in line booster and this may also increase the ability of the system to complete the handshake but I would not guarantee it nor would I recommend investing in the added expense...With HDMI there really isn't a better quality signal you either get signal or nothing its not a matter of degrees its all or nothing....

Audio is part of the signal so yes, they do audio. No decrease in quality. Something like this might do it http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=6416&seq=1&format=2 It is a matrix switch meaning 4 inputs, 2 outputs. There are a number of devices at that site so look them over in case I didn't understand your needs.

what you need is N hdmi in 1 hdmi out. For 4 hdmi in 1 hdmi out, but need you to select the HDMI output hdmi to tv. And , this would not cost much. Also, hdmi has audio output with video, also you can keep the audio on your pc. Just set it in the control panel, audio setting.
