there should be a defrost control, if it is the freezer. adjust it and wait, and let the freezer get dry, well help it. and wait 24 hours. I had the same problem, I contacted the company and they told about a control that controls defrost cycle. also, on an older model, like mine, I just had to unplug it for 6 hours, then chipped off the frost, mopped up the water. it worked. (I have had several like yours). oh, if you have water, check the water input if you have an automatic ice cube maker. I don't have enough detail, other than this has happened to me before.

If the freezer is getting cold while this problem exist, most likely the drain in the bottom of your freezer is plugged. Stick a stiff but flexible piece of wire down the drain to clean it out. On the other hand If the freezer is not getting cold then it could be the defrost heating element and/or the defrost timer. Call a professional if clogging drain doesn't solve the problem.
