It sounds like you need a new igniter switch but also I would check or have some one who knows if your not comfortable with wiring, to check for frays, burnt or shorted wiring also take note when flipping the switch, is it loose, without resistance, i.e. it flops on and off easily, your switch could be worn out.

Your furnace is going into lockout/shutdown after three attempts at ignition have failed. You reset the board by turning the disconnect off and on. It will try three times again, and again. Locate and read the LED blinking lights and match them to the guide located inside the service panel for the reason.

have the furnace man out immediately to check both the thermostat and the furnace. this should be checked annually at the beginning of the heating season. I have it done 2x a year. 1 for furnace and the other for whole house air. this year, after 15 years with current furnace I had to replace the thermostat( thermostat has been there since I built home 25 yrs. ago.
