Not enough to notice, yes when you pull the strap off the brand new absorbers they push, but not enough to lift a vehicle.

NO!!! Shocks have nothing to do with height!!!!! Only for to damping the up/down movement of the suspension. But does not change the height. The torsion bars do control the height

Humveetech is right, but wrong lol. Just splitting hairs, but if you got shocks that were too long, they wouldn't compress all the way, and that would affect ride height. You'd have to work really hard to make that mistake though. Then again, I've seen people spend a lot of time and money putting things together wrong. :)
