The same as you would do to make the transition from being a waitress to an actor or from making the transition from being an office worker to an actor. Acting and modeling are different careers. You don't have to drop your other job (in this case modeling) when you start looking to an acting career. And if wouldn't make sense to quit your other job before you get an talent (acting) agent since there's a very good chance you won't get an agent or if you do find one, that you'll get a lot of auditions or that you'll book any professional jobs. Just because some models become actors doesn't mean modeling automatically transfers to acting any more than because a lot of actors wait tables means waiting tables helps you get acting jobs. If you're interested in attempting a professional acting career you need to get specific training and experience in acting. Then learn the acting industry and the business end of things. Good luck.

Charlotte and Katrina are right. Modelling has nothing to do with acting - and if you want to try acting you'd need the same amount of training and experience as anyone else. And never mention being a model to anyone in the acting world - they have no respect for models as most of them are total airheads with no talent whatsoever.
