Don't go to a preparer. They will take a percentage of your money for nothing. You can do a free tax return online yourself. It is so simple. You can use a lot of preparers for free with your low income. There is a page at the irs about this: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Free-File:-Do-Your-Federal-Taxes-for-Free I see it's not ready yet for 2013 tax returns but it will be up soon. The best for me was TaxHawk.com, because they did my state taxes for free, too. TurboTax was going to charge for that. http://www.taxhawk.com/ It's simple, it will take no time at all, and you can get your entire refund without giving part of it to someone who just fills out the same info you can.

Yes, you'd qualify. You can do it yourself, especially if it's a 1040EZ. You don't need a preparer.
