You won't get better results with a cover up. Finger tattoos tend to heal badly and fade very quickly, so there's a good chance a lot will have fallen out before it's even finished healing. I'd recommend looking into laser removal as soon as it's healed. *edit* There is no point in trying to cover it. 1) Cover up tattoos have to be bigger and darker than what they're covering in order to actually cover it. 2) If you couldn't handle the pain the first time, you won't be able to handle it the second time. If you try to cover it up, you'll end up with an even bigger mess and shoving more ink in there will put you a higher risk of a blowout (when the ink spreads out under the skin resulting in a bruise like mark that can only be removed with laser) and make it harder to remove when you do go for laser. Leave it and get it lasered when you can afford to.

This is a good lesson for others. I would look into getting it removed.

Please tell me that your tattoo is temporary or permanent. If your tattoo is temporary then there is no need to take any tension. It will automatically remove in shorter time of period. But if your tattoo is permanent then you have only two options. Either you have choose a tattoo which looks like your current tattoo or you have to wait some time till you gather the money and use laser technique to get rid of your tattoo permanently.
