The e-cigs really worked for me, but you have to find the right brand. Flavor and level of harshness can make all the difference. I tried several brands and different types with-in a brand before finding the one that worked for me. There is also a spray that I got at the health food store called no-smoke. You spray it under your tongue and it is a variety of herbs that help with cravings and helps your lungs adjust.

What might work for one, might not work for another. A cousin of mine underwent hypnoses about 8 years ago and only stopped smoking for about 9 months.

Try vaping, that's like giving up smoking without giving it up at all. You still get to enjoy a smoke but you don't ruin your lungs or fill your blood with carbon monoxide. Get a proper vaporiser, those ones that look like cigarettes are too weak, too expensive and the batteries are too small.

I think that quitting permanently is more a matter of getting yourself *un-hypnotised* from the effects of nicotine addiction. Once you cut through the lies you tell yourself that keep you smoking, it is really quite easy to stop. When you see smoking for what it really is, you don't want to do it anymore. (The hypnotic power of nicotine's lies is evident in the suggestions of switching your nicotine addition to a different delivery system, i.e. e-cigarettes). Learn the truth about nicotine and how it affects you. I have been helped by a book by Allen Carr and by the materials at WhyQuit.com. Check it out.
