This is a very common feeling, especially among new teachers. I suggest you begin a journal to write about your feelings. I also think you should think about what your students are doing right now, like spending time with family and friends. And then, I think you should follow their lead and make time for friends and family yourself. Take it from an experienced teacher, you should use this time to recharge, rejuvenate and refresh yourself. Read a great book, take a short trip, start or continue with a hobby, and enjoy some well-deserved rest. It gets easier as the years go by; trust me on that.

Teachers get attached to their kids and it doesn't have to be a whole semester. Students have a way of entering a teacher's heart and never leaving . There is social attachment for students but for the teacher they gain the gifts of patience, acceptance, and embracing their students for who they are
