Keep the buyer's written request, and when you send the lens, include a cover letter stating, "At your request, I am sending only the lens from the (repeat full description of camera)." If you would find yourself still anxious, send both and let the buyer throw the camera away, stomp on it, or whatever (s)he wants.

Buyer should have asked you this before buying it if you wuld sell the lens only. It wont be Not As Described because his email to you is on file in My Messages so he cant claim you did not want to send the camera. I wouldnt do it however. He paid for both, send both. He can do whatever he wants after he gets it. Maybe he doesnt want to pay the shipping and insurance for the camera. Did he already pay?

I have dealt with every request under the sun. Make sure that his request goes through the Ebay message system and you are off the hook. If he requesting this because shipping is cheaper, that is usually ok, if the shipping is the same then send it anyways and he can do as he pleases with it. Be careful of shipping out of the country. Always get insurance and tracking and upload the tracking to Ebay. I have had buyers request, for example, a lamp, they only want the vase portion of the lamp and not the fixtures, they ask because it is cheaper to ship. I have never had a problem with that.
