It's your body's way of telling you it is in receipt of nourishment - eating induces contentment, just as overeating will cause nausea and balking/gagging. If it's excessively elevated you should perhaps ask a physician. There could also be something you do not tolerate well in food, so while not an allergy, a simple diary tracking food eaten and instances of feeling high will illuminate it. If it's all the time when you eat, I'd surmise you are merely feeling replete - and that it feels good. It's quite possible you have struck a balance that goes beyond even the best nutritional advice [for it is rarely reported to attain this and people still constantly need advising], and so the experience is better for you than most..., worth looking into.
