Always , very first thing - avoid attending any liberal business universities or colleges whose credentials ( including financial donors ) come from entities or financial institutions known to have been prosecuted for ethics violations or suspected of ethics violations.

I would say emphatically , as the very first step to avoid ethics problems , is to choose a school which is demonstrably able to accept reality as opposed to elevating fantasy into reality. If you have done that , then you don't need to ask this question , as the answers would already be evident in your own mind.
