Vigorous laughter can cause tears due to pressure on tear ducts. They are not emotional.

Yes especially since it's variable and can mean anything. People cry because they're happy, sad, scared, whatever and they laugh for even more reasons so the two combined is a strangely interesting emotional state.

It is rare and unique, no doubt, as it is height of emotions touching our heart directly..... but I wonder whether this can at all be a rationally well-defined psychological state since it is probably a curious mixture out of confusion or oscillation.
